I don't chase, I attract

On being felt before you are understood.

TS Deja Vu, photographed in soft daylight.

I don’t chase. I never have. Chasing asks someone to notice you, and I’d rather be the thing that’s already been noticed.

That isn’t confidence I was handed. I built myself from nothing — quietly, in rooms where nobody was clapping, over years where the only person keeping score was me. Nothing about this was inherited. Every soft thing you see now was paid for with something harder.

And that’s the part I’ve come to like most. It shows. Not in what I wear or where I am that week, but in how a room settles when I walk into it. People feel me before they understand me.

That’s the deja vu.

The soft era

Lately I’ve stopped performing and started arriving. I call it my soft era — less proving, more presence. Long mornings. Better light. Choosing what I say yes to, and saying it slower.

It turns out softness isn’t the opposite of strength. It’s what strength looks like once it stops needing an audience. I’m not softer because I’ve settled. I’m softer because I finally don’t have to fight for room.

What stays mine

I’ll show you a city, a fit, a mood, a morning. I’ll show you how far I’ve come, because I’m proud of it.

What I won’t show you is anyone else’s name, anyone else’s evening, or the parts of my life that were never yours to read. Discretion isn’t a policy here. It’s just taste.

Come as you are. Leave knowing you felt something you can’t quite place.
