After the Sun

Warm air, a balcony, and the part of the evening where nothing needs deciding.

Somewhere warm, high up, facing the water.

Coffee in the morning that I drank slowly because there was no reason not to. A balcony I sat on twice a day without ever really deciding to. The sky doing the thing it does for about eleven minutes before it gives up entirely.

Very little happened.

That was the entire point.
